MARC ASHTON
Business Development Consultant at Yes4Youth
Marc is the Business Development Consultant at Yes4Youth, a business-driven initiative, delivered in partnership with government and labour, to support companies in creating economic pathways for black youth. Small and medium-sized businesses can learn from the practical experience of Yes4Youth and their use of technology to create a valuable first workplace experience for both the youth and the company. Marc is also active in the medical technology and financial inclusion industries and previously worked as a financial journalist. He attended MIT Sloan School of Management and completed courses at Oxford in Managing a Multigenerational and Diverse Workforce.
RICARDO DAMES
Chairman of Engeli Enterprise Development
Ricardo is the Chairman of Engeli Enterprise Development, a Port Elizabeth small business development service provider and a leading figure in the Enterprise and Supplier Development industry. Previously he served as Branch Manager for the National Youth Development Agency and as CEO of Comsec Incubator. He is a Board Member of the Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa (IBASA). Ricardo completed an MBA from Trinity University, London and a Doctorate in Business Administration at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University covering Business Incubation.
